Art has always been a part of my life in one way or another. In the winter of 1992, I picked up a paintbrush and painted my first watercolor. I was immediately fascinated with the process and it continues to be my main artistic focus. The process of becoming an artist opens your eyes to the beauty and color in everyday objects and the whole world becomes more vivid and vibrant!
After selling our business in 2003, I began focusing more seriously on painting, taking a few art classes, attending the Scottsdale Artist School in 2005 and taking workshops at the Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge. Mostly I have taught myself, which shows in my style, painting the local Park County scenery, flora and fauna in bright bold colors.
Almost every winter I experiment with a new style, learning new techniques, which expands my painting style and helps me evolve as an artist. Artistic growth is always at the top of my list!
